Bibliographic databases

Our subscribed online databases include CINAHL Plus with Full Text, AMED and MEDLINE on the EBSCO interface; Trip Pro; and Embase and MEDLINE on the OVID interface. You can also access our eBooks platforms (EBSCOhost and ProQuest). Content of these databases can be searched via our WorldCat Discovery.

Using the databases separately allows you make use of the database specific functionality. Many databases feature a subject specific term (thesaurus) that relates to content on those databases. E.g. MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) is the National Library of Medicine controlled vocabulary thesaurus used for indexing articles for PubMed and MEDLINE.

Our guide to finding evidence via literature searches covers how to define your search as a question, provides tips on building a search strategy and limiting search results in our databases.
