How you learn:  Students will share their learning between on Campus sessions and practice placement learning. On campus teaching will be a mixture of classroom lectures, tutorials, small group discussions and practical classes, with approximately 50% of time in University spent learning practically in small groups.

There is a requirement for self-directed learning, and students will be expected to spend time outside of the classroom preparing for sessions and reading around subjects. Students practice skills on each other in the classroom before going out into contemporary physiotherapy practice and using these skills on clients.

Increasing amounts of time will be spent in the practice environment across the three years of the programme. There are opportunities for students to undertake some of their clinical placement learning abroad with our partner Universities in Europe, and the possibility of an International experiences through the UCLan Advantage.

How you are assessed:  Learning is facilitated through practical examinations, viva examinations, OSCE’s, presentations, assignments and clinical practice based assessment. There is a strong commitment to providing timely and constructive feedback for all assessments.
