These Level 2 courses will provide the delegate with further skills and understanding to improve diagnostic imaging use and ensure it is clinically appropriate, thereby supporting the clinical examination.

The full programme consists of three, live interactive online courses, each dedicated to MSK imaging use in either Upper Limb, Lower Limb or Spine. 

The programme follows on from the successful Level 1 Musculoskeletal Imaging Referral and Interpretation Course. Booking the full programme will include attendance at each of the subsequent three rolling course dates. The option is also available to book individual courses dependent on requirement. Level 1 completion prior to Level 2 is not a prerequisite but attendance at either level is based on your experience. Please contact us if you require further information regarding course suitability.

Delivered by a Principal Osteopath and Consultant plus a Senior Radiographer and Post Graduate Lecturer with over 20 years MSK Imaging experience, this course features interactive lectures/case workshops with live polling, chat and discussion sessions

Each course will be conducted through the convenience of a live, interactive online platform and delivered over 2x half days.

The following topic areas are covered:

Imaging methods, techniques, views and image weighting. Capabilities and limitations

Surface and functional anatomy of all major joints relevant to the specific course

Appropriate imaging use and image appearances plus implication of unexpected findings

Clinical decision making, including how and when to refer for imaging

Case study investigation, considering differentials based on presenting clinical history and best practice approaches to management of a variety of conditions
